Hiking is a favorite Adirondack pastime and the options are endless. The Rattlesnake Mountain trailhead is just across the road from the recreation hall. Poke-O-Moonshine Mountain is the most prominent peak seen across Long Pond. The views from the fire tower at the top of the mountain are awesome. On a clear day you can see the Montreal skyline. The trailhead is just a short drive away.
